NOLATech Week is the largest free technology conference in the south and its happening this week (October 10-15). The tagline this year is, “Global innovation with New Orleans flair.”
The week is full of free coding classes, networking events and happy hours as well as roundtables and panel discussions by individuals from leading technology companies such as Sony, Microsoft, and more.

Ada Lovelace Woman of the Year in GNO Tech Awards

For the second year, LookFar will honor the work that female innovators have done in our technological ecosystem by recognizing one outstanding nominee as 2016’s Woman of the Year in Greater New Orleans Tech. While this event is currently sold out, there is a waitlist.
Bloggers and Brands: Web Design 101 – Presented by Tech Talent South
Wednesday, October 12 — 6:30-8:00 PM
Join Tech Talent South and learn the basics of web design so you can start applying these skills to your everyday. Due to limited space, this workshop is on a first come, first-serve basis, but attendees are welcome to stay and hang out if seating runs out.
Code for New Orleans: An Open Forum for Ideas
Thursday, October 13 — 6:30-9:00 PM
This meetup is the kickoff for a recurring event held on the second Thursday of every month at the Launch Pad. Attendees will discuss any projects they are working on or that they need help with, and then have to opportunity to break up and work on those projects.
Silicon Bayou Startup Showcase and Happy Hour
Friday, October 14 — 5:00-8:00 PM
The 4th Silicon Bayou Startup Showcase is a science fair-style networking event that will take place at Landing Zone. During the Showcase, companies will have the opportunity to show off products or other projects during the event designed to highlight the local creative startup and entrepreneurial community.
Inaugural NOLATech Week Digital Day Exhibition
Saturday, October 15 — 9:00-3:00 PM
The first ever NOLATech Week Digital Day will take place this Saturday at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, The day will focus on exposing our city’s youth to a variety of interactive technologies and programming. The day will include various technological demonstrations and workshops from over 30 local STEM related organizations and educational institutions. Current exhibition topics include robotics, virtual reality, 3D printing, and more.
