If you have ever wanted Shaya–named best new restaurant in 2016 at the James Beard Awards– delivered to your doorstep in under an hour, you’re in luck. The on-demand delivery service Postmates launched in New Orleans today, bringing customers options like Cochon Butcher, The Camellia Grill, and District Donuts, and many more.
“Our revolutionary Urban Logistics platform connects customers with local couriers who can deliver anything from any store or restaurant in minutes,” explains the company. In additional to the restaurant options, the New Orleans service is also already offering delivery from Whole Foods and Walgreens.
Postmates is live in the following neighborhoods to start: French Quarter, Carrollton/Uptown, Mid-City, Garden District, Metairie and Kenner.
The first 500 customers to sign up will receive $50 in delivery credit ( just apply the code that will be shown in the app once downloaded).
Postmates was founded five years ago in San Francisco and was valued at $500 million by TechCrunch last year. The company is currently utilizing 30,000 couriers across 44 major markets in the United States and growing.
