The Idea Village, a hub for entrepreneurship and producers of the annual New Orleans Entrepreneur Week, has released its annual impact report sharing accomplishments of the last year.
The report shares: “The Idea Village is committed to advancing New Orleans’ entrepreneurial movement by delivering world-class expertise and resources to local start-ups, investing in the diverse people and unique sectors critical to our community, and strengthening our ecosystem by cultivating an expanded, inclusive, and collaborative network.”
In the last year, New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW) grew in attendance by 25 percent to 13,216. The Idea Village allocated more than $1.8 million in capital, consulting, and resources to 143 entrepreneurs while their alumni founders surpassed $100 million in private capital investments and grew their businesses to support more than 2,900 local jobs.
The impact report also details other highlights of the year, including the four accelerator programs the organization offers: IDEAx, DIGITALMEDIAx, ENERGYx, and CAPITALx.
