New Orleans Software Development Firm Helped LA Client Raise $1.86 Million

CotingaSoft is a software engineering firm focused on software, databases, and applications. The New Orleans-based company has clients both locally and nationally, including the online mental wellness service iExhale.

With CotingaSoft’s support, iExhale was recently able to raise $1.86 million seed round led by led by Dorilton Capital.

“We’ve been working with them for a year and half and helped them build out their internal team,” ContingaSoft software engineers and Principal Barrett Conrad told us.

Conrad wanted to specifically highlight the homegrown Louisiana tech talent that is helping businesses nationally and internationally.

The app is currently only available to California residents. The funding will allow Los Angeles-based iExhale to expand its platform that combines an anonymous social support network with on-demand therapy from licensed professionals across the country.

iExhale is currently available the iOS App Store, with desktop and Android versions under development.

“iExhale offers a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can feel supported and understood while encouraging life-affirming change,” iExhale co-founder and Chief Executive Aaron Robin said in a statement. “What we do matters greatly because far too many people still struggle to get the help they need due to distance, isolation, fear and even shame. iExhale empowers you to take control of your life with a simple and convenient way to connect with therapists and the hidden community of friends and supporters around you.”
