The Idea Village is a New Orleans-based non-profit that provides direct services to local entrepreneurs, produces New Orleans Entrepreneurs Week, and hosts an accelerator program for high-growth startups called IDEAx.
The IDEAx accelerator program is designed for New Orleans-based founders focused on creating scalable and fundable businesses.
Program participants will receive coaching from a dedicated Entrepreneur-In-Residence, mentorship through the organization’s extensive network, peer learning, exposure during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week in the spring, and other perks through The Shop coworking space, HubSpot, Amazon Web Services, and more.
To be eligible, businesses must be organized as a for-profit, be located in the 10-parish Greater New Orleans region, generate less than $1 million in annual revenue, and have fewer than five full-time employees outside of the founder or founding team.
The Idea Village has supported startups including Acrew, Bioceptive, Cajun Fire Brewing Company, ChapterSpot, and zlien. “After the IDEAx program, our company was unrecognizable as its former self,” said zlien founder Scott Wolfe. “The program helped us lay out goals and compose a tactical plan to achieve them.”
