Lyft Now Operates at Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans

As of Thursday, July 27, the fastest growing ridesharing service Lyft in the U.S. is operational at New Orleans’ Louis Armstrong International Airport. The five year old company is now in 350 cities across the country.

Lyft first came to New Orleans in 2013 following an investment that allowed for rapid expansion.

“We’re excited to launch at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport and bring our affordable reliable rides to area travelers,” said Don Griffin, business development manager at Lyft. “People at airports across the country have embraced Lyft as a modern transportation solution and we look forward to serving MSY passengers.”

For a limited time, new and existing users can use code “MSYAIR17” to receive two free rides up to $10 to or from the airport.

Currently, trips to and from the New Orleans airport with start or end locations in Orleans Parish have a $33 minimum price. Trips from the airport are subject to a $4 surcharge, which is included in the minimum cost.
