New Orleans-Based Crowdfinder App Scenehound Announces Expansion to Austin

The crowdfinder app Scenehound, which is headquartered in the Big Easy, has announced its expansion to Austin.

The app compiles user generated data to show reviews and wait time for restaurants, and crowd size and male to female ratio for bars. Since launching, the app has also added food and drink specials by partnering with restaurants and bars around town.

Scenehound founder Michael Underwood moved to New Orleans in 2016 after completing IDEA Tour, a program designed to attract entrepreneurs to the region. Shortly after, Scenehound made it to the final round in the Blackstone Big Idea during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week and won the DIGITALMEDIAx pitch competition towards the end of 2016.

Less than a year after launching in New Orleans, Scenehound went live in Columbus, Ohio, where the app quickly gained traction with students at Ohio State University.

More details about the Austin expansion coming soon.
