Zlien is a construction payment ecosystem that connects construction stakeholders and leverages millions of data records to make payment documentation and lien rights fast and easy.
The collaboration-driven platform has just secured a $10 million Series B round of financing led by Austin-based S3 Ventures, and supported by Altos Ventures, Brick & Mortar Ventures, and others.
“The zlien team is revolutionizing how construction stakeholders get paid and empowering better results for everyone,” said Charlie Plauche from S3 Ventures, who will be joining the board as part of the financing. “Their product provides an immediate ROI to suppliers, contractors, and others by speeding up payment and creating efficiencies in an industry with notoriously long payment cycles.”
The New Orleans-based startup has now raised a total $16.7 million, helping the company grow rapidly and continue to bring on new team members. With this latest funding, zlien plans to open an office in Austin and hire approximately 50 employees in the new office there and in New Orleans and Cairo, Egypt.
