NOLA Health Innovators Challenge Hosts Pitch Finale at NOEW

Today, three healthcare entrepreneurs will pitch at the inaugural NOLA Health Innovators Challenge (NOLAHI) finale during New Orleans Entrepreneur Week. The goal of the Challenge is to showcase national startups working to innovate diabetes care.

NOLAHI was created through a partnership with the New Orleans Business Alliance (NOLABA), Ochsner Health System and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana and is designed to connect the city’s healthcare stakeholders with innovative entrepreneurs with health solutions.

Finalists include Alertgy (Melbourne, FL), Bonbouton (New York, NY) and DIASYST (Atlanta, GA). Each has a shot to win $36,000 and a pilot partnership in New Orleans.

“NOLAHI is another proof point that economic development matters because people matter,” said Quentin L. Messer, Jr., president and CEO of the New Orleans Business Alliance. “More than the promise of attracting the most creative digital health companies to New Orleans, NOLAHI’s potential to transform health outcomes of patients throughout the state is why NOLABA is so honored to be a part of this initiative.”

There will be a fireside chat following the pitch featuring the winners of the two other NOLAHI Challenges, the Navigator Challenge by Tulane Health System, and the General Foundation’s Interoperability Challenge.
