Louisiana State University’s (LSU) Student Incubator is gearing up for its annual Venture Challenge, a two-part business competition for students looking for capital and long-term business success.
The competition supports new, independent student ventures in the early growth stage, including non-profits that fit the criteria. To be eligible, at least one owner of the company must be currently enrolled at LSU.
Applications are due on April 9, and the final pitches will take place at Tin Roof Brewery on April 17. Three student ventures will be award $25,000 through the competition, with each finalist guarateed at least $1,000 with a maximum prize of $15,000.
The LSU Student Incubator is a program of the Louisiana Business and Technology Center at the LSU Innovation Park, which provides provides management assistance, technology transfer assistance, resources and access to capital.
