America’s fastest growing technology conference, Collision, has been held in New Orleans since 2016. With growth comes challenges, and the organizers are now considering moving the conference to a different city.
The Collision team is asking the global community to vote on where they should head next. The options include Toronto, San Francisco, Denver, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, or New Orleans.
“New Orleans is a very special town, but as Collision grows we sadly need to find a bigger and more globally connected home,” wrote Paddy Cosgrave, founder of Collision and other conferences such as Web Summit.
Web Summit moved from Dublin to Lisbon in 2016, and, according to Cosgrave it was because the people of Lisbon made their voices heard. “Lisbon wanted to host Web Summit. They wanted to welcome people from all over the tech world to their city. And they, more than any other city in Europe, let their voices be heard.”
