A Brand New Tech Conference Will Replace Collision in New Orleans

For the last three years, Collision Conference has taken place in between Jazz Fest weekends in New Orleans. The Collision Conference organizers recently announced they will be moving the conference to Toronto next year in search for a more globally connected, diverse, and inclusive location.

Gerard Ramos, founder of software development studio Revelry, is thankful the Collision team helped put New Orleans on the map as a tech hub.

“There is no better time to be in New Orleans,” said Ramos. “The technology industry is facing a demand to create more innovative solutions to the world’s most urgent problems more than ever before. New Orleans is constantly producing a vibrant palette of ideas inspired by our broad cultural landscape.”

Instead of letting Collision leave New Orleans for good with no replacement, Ramos announced that a brand new conference will take its place in 2019.

Innoconf is being called the largest innovation conference in the world and will take place in New Orleans next spring “because holding a tech conference between the two weekends of Jazz Fest is still a great idea,” continued Ramos.
