Better Day™ Health Achieves ONC Health IT Certification

New Orleans-based tech company Better Day™ Health has achieved the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC-HIT) 2015 Edition Certification. Eligible providers will be able to use the certified technology beginning in 2019.

Better Day™ Health provides cloud-based solutions that automate clinical workflow and reduce costs for medical groups. The company is headquartered out of the New Orleans BioInnovation Center (pictured; photo credit: Eskew+Dumez+Ripple). 

“This stamp of approval designates that Better Day™ Health offers functionality sufficient to enable eligible providers to meet the federal policy requirements for 2015 Edition Certified EHR Technology (CEHRT), qualifying these organizations to receive payments under various EHR incentive programs,” Rand Ragusa, SVP Business Development at Better Day™ Health, told Silicon Bayou News.

The company was found to be following the standards across 41 different certification criteria to be selected by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

“Better Day™ Health represents an entirely new approach to documentation and data capture that promotes data sharing and patient engagement and are critical for next-generation interoperability, usability, transparency, and scalability,” said CEO Peter Ragusa, MD, MPH.
