A recent study released by LendingTree found New Orleans to have the third youngest founders in major cities across the country. The average age an entrepreneurs starts a business in the Big Easy is 37.95.
“Average founder’s ages when starting their business ranged from 37 to 42 years old, the study found,” shares Elyssa Kirkham from LendingTree. “This five-year gap in average ages might seem small, but it can represent many factors that work for — or against — entrepreneurs in each city.”
Salt Lake City topped the list with an average founder age of 37.81, followed closely by Buffalo, New York, with an age of 37.91.
New Orleans is ahead of Oklahoma City, Charlotte, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Portland, Milwaukee, and Austin for the age of the city’s entrepreneurs.
