New Orleans-based entrepreneurial support organization The Idea Village has announced the nine startups selected for its four-month accelerator program, IDEAx. Each year, the program works with highly scalable startups with innovative, technology-enabled business models.
“We are excited to welcome an exceptional group of entrepreneurs who are focused on bringing innovative solutions to significant problems” said Jon Atkinson, CEO of The Idea Village. “It is humbling to have the opportunity to work alongside so many great people with the energy, drive, and passion to take risks and build new companies from the ground up.”
This 2019 IDEAx accelerator program includes: 3D Media, Dig Cargo, Don’t Get Mad Get Paid, RentCheck, OrthoBistro, SAMPLECHAIN, Stilio, TrayAway, and UpScribed.
Over the course of the program, the companies are mentored by two Entrepreneurs-In-Residence (EIRs) with experience helping companies grow. EIR Soumitra Sengupta is a tech industry veteran who previously worked at Microsoft, and Mike Katz is a venture capitalist with a business development background.
Additionally, the organization’s ENERGYx accelerator program will be running in tandem with IDEAx. Three startups that participated in the December Energy Innovators Bootcamp were invited to the ENERGYx program, including ARIX Technologies, Gulf Offshore Research Institute, and VPT.
