GAN, formerly called the Global Accelerator Network, connects over 100 accelerators to partners and investors to help create thriving startups communities. They run programs in more than 120 cities and have supported over 10,000 startups to date.
New Orleans-based entrepreneurial support organization The Idea Village was recently accepted into the GAN Accelerator.
“We are very excited about the validation this brings to our work and the opportunity this affords us to bring new resources into our community,” said Jon Atkinson, CEO of The Idea Village.”
The organization believes accelerators are the best current model for getting startups off the ground. Through its global network, GAN helps startups gain access to human capital and the financial capital they need to be successful.
“This partnership connects us with a global community of best-in-class, technology-focused accelerator programs and will bring direct value to the 13 local startup companies we’re assisting this year,” continued Atkinson.
