Each year, New Orleans-based social innovation hub Propeller hosts a series of pitch competitions for local entrepreneurs, awarding thousands of dollars in total prizes.
There are three separate pitches that are part of the annual PitchNOLA competitions. The pitches will take place this spring with three focus areas: water, education, and health and food.
“As a series, PitchNOLA demonstrates the power of entrepreneurs to increase quality of life for all New Orleanians,” says Crystal McDonald, Propeller’s Director of Entrepreneurship. “These entrepreneurs care about the people of our city, and they come to the stage with the tools, services, and approaches we need for a more inclusive, powerful city.”
The Water Challenge presented by the Greater New Orleans Foundation will take place on April 3 at the Propeller Incubator. Finalists for this year’s Water Challenge include: The BAF Map, Bright Side Oysters, Green is the New Norm in Communities of Color, Mastodonte, Oko Vue Produce, and Tout Ensemble.
