The 11th Annual New Orleans Entrepreneur Week by the Numbers

New Orleans Entrepreneur Week (NOEW) is the annual celebration of business, innovation and entrepreneurial thinking in New Orleans. Co-produced by the A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and The Idea Village, NOEW took place March 24-29.

Over 3,500 attended the 11th annual NOEW, which took place at the Ace Hotel and other locations around the city. The attendees represented 23 states and three countries.

Throughout the week, NOEW hosted several pitch competitions that awarded a total of $300,000 to local entrepreneurs.

“For more than a decade, NOEW continues to have an incredible impact on our region — not only in terms of direct outcomes for startup companies, but also for connecting the local community, maintaining an open front door to the startup ecosystem, and attracting regional and national attention to business in New Orleans,” said Jon Atkinson, CEO of The Idea Village.

Prior to the NOEW Summit on Thursday and Friday, 30 partners hosted 19 events around New Orleans for the NOEW In Your Neighborhood part of the week.

To date, NOEW and is partners have awarded $4.6 million in cash and prizes to nearly 800 entrepreneurs.
