The Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) has a new collaboration with Amazon Web Services to will help deploy opportunities in cloud computing statewide.
LCTCS has 12 colleges through the state of Louisiana, and all of them will be implementing AWS Educate, Amazon’s global initiative to provide students and educators with the resources needed to accelerate cloud-related learning.
The collaboration with AWS Educate will create an Associate Degree in Cloud Computing, a two-year program designed for prepare students for entry-level jobs in cloud computing.
“By embedding the AWS Educate program to create a cloud degree program across the State of Louisiana in all LCTCS institutions, Louisiana is providing students with an on-ramp to innovation and careers in the cloud,” said Ken Eisner, Director, Worldwide Education Programs, Amazon Web Services.
