New Orleans Accelerator Program Welcomes New Cohort of Social Innovators

Propeller is a New Orleans-based nonprofit that supports social innovation and entrepreneurs tackling social and environmental disparities in the region.

The organization has announced the 30 ventures joining their 2019 Impact Accelerator program, a four month program designed to transform local businesses at both the startup and growth stages of operations.

This year’s Impact Accelerator welcomes 22 for-profit and eight nonprofit companies owned by 70 percent people of color and 63 percent women. The businesses focus on five sectors: community economic development, education, food, health, and water.

Propeller and its partners provide the participating entrepreneurs with coaching and technical assistance to promote social impact, financial viability, racial equity, and a commitment to the New Orleans region.
