Applications Now Open for Chevron’s Fuel Your School Program

Chevron has launched applications for the 10th annual Fuel Your School program, which is specifically aimed at supporting STEM learning in classrooms.

The program supports education by helping provide teachers with the supplies they need for their classrooms through grants of up to $325,000 for projects in Louisiana this year.

The program is run in partnership with www.DonorsChoose.org where teachers can post their projects for a chance to receive funding. Priority is given to science, technology, engineering, and math projects.

Public school teachers in the following Louisiana parishes are eligible to apply: East Baton Rouge, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Tammany, and Terrebonne.

“Fuel Your School is one part of our efforts to support local schools and teachers,” said Leah Brown, public affairs manager for Chevron’s Gulf of Mexico Business Unit. “We hope to spark a love of learning, help students succeed in school, and pave the way for them to be engineers and scientists in the future. We’re proud to once again bring the program to Louisiana and are looking forward to seeing some great submissions.”

To date, the Fuel Your School program in the U.S. has raised almost $50 million across 55,072 projects in 6,500 schools.
