San Francisco Tech Startup Bounce Launches in the Big Easy

Bounce is a tech startup based in San Francisco that provides users with short-term luggage store solutions in cities across the country. The company launched in New Orleans last week and plans to be in 20 markets by the end of the year.

The company partners with local businesses with unused storage space and connects them with users – from travelers and tourists to students and residents – who can reserve a storage space through the Bounce app or website.

Bounce co-founder and CEO Cody Candee first visited New Orleans for a conference in 2017. He noticed the crowds in the French Quarter and how it was difficult to navigate the streets with luggage of any size.

“When launching Bounce, I immediately thought of that experience and how nice it would have been to have a place to drop off and store bulky items,” said Candee. “Keeping this in mind, we made sure to hit all the key hotspots to enable travelers, commuters and locals with a happier and lighter travel experience.”
