Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week Announces Pitch Competition Semi-Finalists

NexusLA, organizers of Baton Rouge Entrepreneurship Week, have announced a high-stakes pitch competition culminating at the festival on November 15.

Organizers have narrowed down applicants and selected 11 semi-finalists who will pitch at a private event in October prior to the final round the following month. Up to $100,000 is up for grabs for the participating entrepreneurs.

The semi-finalists include: ACT One Health, Block Lawncare, Crimer, Debtle, Don’t Get Mad Get Paid, Gilded, Moxey, On Scene Services, Pass It Down Inc., Relief Telemed, and The Youni Company, LLC.

A total of 44 applications were submitted for the high-stakes pitch competition. Only four will make it to the final round after sharing a detailed business plan with a panel of judges.

“We’ve truly been blown away by the quality of companies we’ve seen during this application process,” shared Genevieve Silverman, President and CEO of NexusLA. “It speaks volumes to the state of entrepreneurship in our state right now, and we really don’t see the progress slowing anytime soon. This is indicative of our region’s viability in this space.”
