Venture For America (VFA) is a Fellowship program for recent college graduates who work full-time in the startup ecosystems of 14 cities across the country, including New Orleans.
The Fellows are pre-vetted individuals who are eager to contribute to startups and scaling companies of all stages. VFA has relaxed their restrictions on company size and industry due to the uncertainty of the current times.
“New Orleans Fellows love being part of this community and its undying devotion to the colorful and vibrant city,” said VFA. “Known for its iconic celebrations and one-of-a-king culture, the city is on the cusp of a bona fide change,” and, “New Orleans is making itself into a tech hub.”
There are 49 Fellows and alumni in full-time roles in New Orleans right now. The next hiring cycle launches May 18 and runs through December. There is no cost to participate in the process, but companies who successfully hire pay $5,000 per Fellow to support recruitment, selection, and training costs, and commit to a minimum salary of $38,000.
