New Orleans-based Dig is a dating app for dog owners and dog lovers taking the country by storm. The startup has been announced the winner of the Million Dollar Dating Project.
Powered by HubStars, the project grant will provide the Dig team with tools, marketing expertise, and other resources to help expand the company’s footprint. App users will see new features launching soon.
“The results of this collaboration have already provided us with exciting enhancements to user experience and with the app, we will soon be able to offer unrivalled routes to market for brands using HubStars,” shared Michael O’Sullivan, owner of HubStars.
Dig is known for hosting in-person events for those who love a dog-focused lifestyle, which has now shifted to offline events in cities across the country.
“We’re not doing events right now because of Covid, but we’ll get back to our dog-friendly Dig dating events when it’s safe to,” said Dig CEO Leigh D’Angelo. “Until then, we wanted to make sure our Dig daters could have the best experience possible on the Dig app itself.”
With the influx of resources from HubStars, Dig said the company is eyeing a global expansion.
