This Louisiana Town Almost Has the Worst Internet Speed Nationwide

Do you ever wonder how your Internet speed compares to neighboring areas or even other cities and states? HighSpeedInternet.com compiled the data to reveal the fastest and slowest cities and states for Internet speed.

The report found that Louisiana’s own Ville Platte has the third worst Internet speed across any city in the United States at only 7.8 Mbps. In contrast, Whitestone, NY, ranked the highest for Internet speed at 138.4 Mbps. 

HighSpeedInternet.com ranked 2,939 cities across the country and found the average Internet speed to be 59.5 Mbps. We “looked at data from two million speed test tool results and took the average internet speed of every city in the US, then ranked them from fastest to slowest.”
