Amazon Ranks Louisiana a Top State for Digital Entrepreneurs

Prior to the launch of Amazon’s 2020 SMB Impact Report, the company analyzed small and medium-sized businesses across the country. The company recently announced the top 10 states with the most digital entrepreneurs per capita, plus the top 10 states with the fastest year-over-year growth by digital entrepreneurs.

Louisiana saw a 49 percent growth in digital entrepreneurs fifth on the list, only beat by Iowa, Washington, Alabama, and Virginia, respectively.

Amazon’s announcement also shared that overall, 47 states are each home to more than 1,000 SMB sellers with the platform and 26 states each have more than 5,000 SMB sellers.

“Products from small and medium-sized businesses make up more than half of all items sold in Amazon’s stores worldwide,” revealed the press release.
