Tech-Enabled Ventures Invited to Apply to The Idea Village’s VILLAGEx Accelerator

New Orleans-based entrepreneurial support organization The Idea Village has served as a catalyst for economic development in the city for the last two decades.

Known for producing New Orleans Entrepreneur Week, an annual festival of innovation, the organization also hosts VILLAGEx (formerly IDEAx), their core accelerator program each year.

To date, The Idea Village has supported more than 13,000 entrepreneurs, and 277 of those have gone through the accelerator program.

Applications are now open for the next 16-week VILLAGEx program that kicks off in January and will help local entrepreneurs scale their tech-enabled ventures.

“Now more than ever, investing in industries of the future is crucial to New Orleans,” says Jon Atkinson, CEO of The Idea Village. “Digitally native, innovative, and growth-oriented companies are the cornerstone of a more resilient, vibrant, and dynamic local economy.”

The Idea Village is partnered with local law firm Jones Walker, along with GAN, formerly called the Global Accelerator Network, to help expand the program’s impact.
