Technology company CultureConnect was founded nearly seven years ago in New Orleans by entrepreneur and 4.0 Schools startup program alumna Samantha Diamond.
After moving to New York City several years ago and continuing to build the business, Diamond recently announced that CultureConnect was acquired by Axiell, a leading software and services provider for the cultural sector.
CultureConnect helps customers in the cultural sector build custom solutions for their business from online experiences and mobile games to digital interactives for any screen.
The company’s customers mainly include museums, libraries, attractions, and cultural organizations. To date, CultureConnect has enabled customers to engage with millions of visitors on-site, online, and on personal devices.
“We began partnering with Axiell back in 2019, and quickly came to realize the opportunity of more closely aligning our technologies and operations,” shared Diamond.
Diamond will remain on board as the vice president of digital engagement at Axiell.
“Our acquisition by Axiell is an exciting step forward giving cultural institutions the technology needed to own their media distribution in ways that expand both reach and revenue opportunities,” said Diamond.
