Baton Rouge-Based Pass It Down Raises $860,000 Seed Round

Baton Rouge-based digital exhibit builder platform Pass It Down has raised an $860,000 seed round led by VentureSouth, a top angel investment group in North America.

The funding will go towards the expansion of the company’s software and marketing teams, in addition to advancing their product roadmap to meet fast growing customer demand.

“COVID-19 has accelerated the demand for our platform as cultural institutions and brands need a way to drive visitor engagement and experience,” Pass It Down founder and CEO Chris Cummings told Silicon Bayou News.

Pass It Down is already working with three Fortune 500 companies, as well as universities, libraries, museums, and sports teams.

“Now more than ever, it’s a challenge for organizations to capture visitor attention and engage their visitors,” said Cummings. “From the world’s most iconic brands, like Porsche, to large municipalities around the country, to forward-thinking libraries and museums, organizations around the globe are turning to Pass It Down to bring their exhibitions and stories to life.”
