New Orleans-based nonprofit Fund 17 expands opportunities for under-resourced entrepreneurs in the region by providing access to business services, capital, and office space.
On November 13 and 14, the organization will celebrate the entrepreneurs in the New Orleans area at Bayou Bazaar, a virtual holiday marketing featuring roughly 20 small businesses.
“Small businesses comprise the backbone of a sustainable economy, making Bayou Bazaar the perfect opportunity to support the small business owners that keep New Orleans thriving,” shared Fund 17.
The two-day event will feature host Gabrielle Oakley, founder of Stella & Throne Soapery, plus musical guests and segments showcasing each of the products created by the local businesses.
On Friday evening, Fund 17 is hosting a brief antiracism roundtable discussion moderated by television celebrity and housing rights activist Vanessa Cobbs.
General admission tickets are free, and raffle tickets featuring products from the event are available for $5 each.
