Ireland-based Keywords Studios is comprised of many individual brands with seven service lines, including art services, game development, player support, and more. The company has announced its acquisition of High Voltage Software for $50 million.
High Voltage Software has offices in both Hoffman Estates, Illinois and New Orleans, Louisiana. Over nearly three decades of third-party game development, High Voltage has created more than 100 games and worked with several major brands.
“We are tremendously excited Keyword Studios share our vision for augmenting our development capabilities and they will provide us the ability to embark upon a growth trajectory for our business creating the next generation of AAA games,” said High Voltage founder Kerry Ganofsky.
High Voltage Software opened the New Orleans located back in 2014. Ganofsky said the Keyword Studios investment in his business will mean continued game development in Illinois and Louisiana.
