Brass Roots Secures $1 Million Investment from Global Brand

Brass Roots, a New Orleans-based healthy snack company, has closed a Series A funding round from John B. Sanfilippo & Sons, a leading global nut company.

The $1 million funding will support the nationwide launch of the business in Sprouts Farmers Markets as well as increase online sales. 

Brass Roots founder Aaron Gailmor said their investors share their enthusiasm for the Sacha Inchi seeds, a high-protein, allergen friendly, and nutritious seed, in addition to their sustainability and social mission. 

The mission of Brass Roots is to help customers live happier and healthier through not only the snacks, but the company’s supply chain and commitment to social impact through its partners and community organizations.
