Lucid is a New Orleans-based global programmatic platform for buyers and sellers to source and understand human answers. The company provides access to sample from millions of survey respondents, and now works in hundreds of countries across the globe.
Less than two years ago, the company reached a Gross Merchandise Value of $100 million, representing the total value of all transactions on the Lucid marketplace.
Today, it was announced that Lucid was acquired by Cint Group, a consumer network for digital survey-based research based in Sweden, for a combination of $580 million in cash and $470 million in Cint stock.
“Cint and Lucid coming together is a validation of the programmatic marketplace and the entire Research Technology industry,” said Patrick Comer, founder and CEO of Lucid. “We’re excited to continue building towards our shared vision of the future.”
The companies’ combined capabilities, Comer continued, will empower customers to discover more tech-enabled insights and better understand their target audiences.
