New Orleans-based entrepreneurial support organization The Idea Village is currently accepting applications for its VILLAGEx accelerator program. The nonprofit is seeking entrepreneurs working on high-growth, technology-enable ventures for the program.
Applications for VILLAGEx are being accepted until November 19.
“The selective four-month program is cohort-based, and it leverages the passion and expertise of New Orleanians across the globe to provide founders with the connections and resources needed to scale rapidly,” shared The Idea Village.
The Idea Village has supported 286 startups in the New Orleans entrepreneurial ecosystem and helped them go on to raise a total of $439 million in capital since the organization’s start in 2002.
One of those alumni ventures is Levelset, a local tech success story and business that was just acquired for $500 million.
“After The Idea Village’s accelerator program, our company was unrecognizable to its former self,” said Scott Wolfe, Founder and CEO of Levelset. “We became a more mature business post-program, with a clear understanding of our vision, mission and values.”
