On Tuesday, December 21, downtown New Orleans will be the scene of the first ever Startup Second Line hosted by the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development.
The Startup Second Line will kick off on the steps of Gallier Hall at 5:00 pm and conclude at the Ace Hotel. The goal is to celebrate New Orleans founders, “one step at a time.”
The Mayor’s Office relayed this event is intended to celebrate the unprecedented year in tech company exits from New Orleans entrepreneurs. Mayor Cantrell is expected to give remarks at the event.
Entrepreneur Support Organization The Idea Village is hoping to see 1,000 people celebrating in the streets of downtown New Orleans, a stone’s throw away from the IP Building and the nonprofit’s former headquarters.
Organizers encourage founders, coworkers, stakeholders, family, and friends to attend the Startup Second Line.
