LSU and the Stephenson Entrepreneurship Institute celebrated the second annual LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses this afternoon during an honoree luncheon at the Renaissance Hotel. During the event, each company was individually recognized and the top 10 fastest growing businesses were ranked and revealed.

Homeland HealthCare of Allen, Texas was honored as the No. 1, 2012 LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Business. Robert J. Byrnes is Homeland HealthCare’s president and Tiger Leader.

“This honor means a great deal to me because it validates the fact that if you have a vision, are willing to dedicate yourself to fulfilling that vision, surround yourself with the best people, and work hard to achieve your goals, you will be successful,” Byrnes said. “I have been blessed through my close association with LSU and by my strong personal and business relationships with other successful people.”

The LSU 100 celebrates the success of former LSU students and recognizes the impact of LSU on the local, regional and national economies. According to LSU SEI Director of Development Lisa O’Beirne, the 100 fastest growing Tiger businesses were identified independently by Postlehwaite & Netterville, which calculated each company’s compounded growth from 2008-2010.

2012 honorees include Trace Security, Bizzuka, Gatorworks, Geocent, and PetroTV.  Click here to view the complete list of the 2012 LSU 100 honorees.

“We had more than 600 nominations and are happy to celebrate the success of the 2012 LSU 100 class,” O’Beirne said.  “We anticipate the program growing and look forward to welcoming more Tigers back to campus through the LSU 100.”
