Launch Media Wins Top Honors at Baton Rouge ADDY Awards

Launch mediaVideo production company Launch Media won top awards from the ADDY Awards, presented by the American Advertising Federation – Baton Rouge. The competition is the largest advertising competition, “representing creative excellence and recognizing all forms of advertising, from media of all types, creative of all sizes and entrants of all levels from anywhere in the world,” according to the press release.

The company received the highest honors, the Gold ADDY and the Best of Show Overall Award. The latter was won because of Launch Media’s work with the East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney’s Office on a film titled, “D.O.A. Dead or Alive.” The competitions are judged on three levels: local, regional and national. Gold winners are forwarded on to the next level, from local to regional and regional to national.

“It is such an honor to be recognized overall among all the outstanding entries,” said Executive Producer/President of Launch Media, John E. Jackson. “It was a great night for the team and for Launch Media as a company.”

The film was made to expose the dangers of drunk driving to high school students. Filmed in Zachary, LA, the footage was shot in real time with little direction or retakes. Editing was done within 24 hours for playback at the East Baton Rouge high school assembly the next morning.

“The involvement of my office in this video has been one of the most satisfying experiences of my short tenure as DA,” said District Attorney Hillar C. Moore, III. “I have personally observed the effect that this video has on students, parents, and teachers in prevention education classes. By touching and changing young lives, this video will prevent the needless deaths or tragedies that would otherwise occur from drunk driving.”

In other recent news, the company announced it will anchor the new Creative Bloc in Baton Rouge opening this summer. For more information about Launch Media, visit launchmedia.tv!
