StartupBus, the moving hackathon-style experience, is headed to New Orleans in a couple weeks. On July 31, attendees will hop on buses in seven cities, brainstorm ideas, and then build and launch a startup with a team of strangers over the course of 72 hours on the way to meetup point in New Orleans.
Each of the buses full of tech lovers will be led by different team of conductors. “StartupBus offers a platform to launch your idea,” shared one of the Tampa StartupBus conductors. “It’s an opportunity to build a team around your concept and take it from idea to reality. You’ll validate your idea, build an MVP and get traction all in a week.”
“Over a three-day period people form teams and build products while riding on a bus to the destination city,” shared one of the New Orleans leads, Max Gaudin, who is also COO of Operation Spark. “I rode the Louisiana bus a few years ago. It was a kickass experience where I got a deep dive into building a startup while meeting lots of awesome people.”
To date, StartupBus has launched more than 300 startups with over 2,000 participating entrepreneurs, or “buspreneurs,” and connected over 12 startup ecosystems around the world.
