Web Survey Company QuestionPro Acquires PollBob

PollBob has been acquired by QuestionPro, an online market research firm based out of Seattle. New Orleans-based PollBob was co-founded by our very own Zach Kupperman along with Ben Jacobson in 2010. PollBob specializes in online and mobile polling, with a user base of around 350,000. It’s a real-time, on the go polling system that lets you quickly survey friends and discover opinions.

New Orleans Food Trucks Rally to Grow their Industry

Shreveport Bossier to Host Startup Weekend in October

The Shreveport Bossier Startup Weekend event will be held on Oct 26-28, 2012 inside of Shreveport’s coworking space Cohab. The Shreveport Bossier Startup Weekend will be host to dozens of entrepreneurs being coached by more than 30 successful business and industry leaders in the area. The list of committed judges and coaches is still growing. Startup Weekend is a 54-hour event that provides everything you need to launch a startup.

Unbundling: A New Approach for Launch Pad Ignition Shakes up Local Accelerator Scene

News broke on Friday that Launch Pad was making some changes. Molly covered the three main changes that will occur for the community including the extension of the Launch Pad Ignition mentorship opportunities and programming throughout the year. It will also now be open to the broader Launch Pad and tech start-up communities.

Gameloft Releases First Full Project Created in New Orleans Studio

Gameloft recently launched the space-theme, locally developedCosmic Colony where users build up their colonies while defending against alien threats. This is the first full game to be developed in the New Orleans studio. The launch coincides with the year anniversary of the studio opening in Louisiana.

PreSonus Plans to Build New Research Facility in Baton Rouge

It was announced last week that the audio technology company PreSonus would be expanding and building a new research facility in Baton Rouge. Founded in 1995, Presonus manufactures digital and analog hardware and integrated software systems for the professional audio market. This includes recording systems, mixers, software, and monitoring and controlling devices.

Three renowned entrepreneurs to support 500 new business owners in New Orleans

Online Technology Platform Provider 365 Connect Integrates with PadMapper

New Orleans based 365 Connect, an online technology platform provider for the multifamily industry, announced its integration withPadMapper. PadMapper is an apartment rental finder that pulls in information and listings from a number of outside sites. The integration distributes all marketing data using the 365 Online Leasing Center to PadMapper via the 365 Marketing Syndication Platform.
