Virtual Reality Coverage Planned for Dirty Linen Night in New Orleans

Dirty Linen Night is an annual arts celebration spanning eight blocks on Royal Street in the French Quarter. The event, now in its 15th year, is taking place on August 13 with a modern twist.

R&D Design, a full service marketing agency with a focus on virtual reality content, will be capturing the event with 360-degree footage.

Back in February, the company said it would try to cover every major festival in the Big Easy, from Mardi Gras to Running of the Bulls and much more.

David Holtman, co-founder of R&D Design, said the opportunity for them to document events and festivals for all to see is why they started the business in the first place. Those unable to attend will be able to view the coverage following the event on Facebook, YouTube, and other social channels.

R&D Design provides high quality aerial drone videography as well as immersive VR video. The startup recently partnered with Joeiful to launch Project NOLA VR, which aims to be the nation’s largest virtual reality library.
